Backing up files means that you will have spare copies in case you accidentally delete or modify the originals. Unfortunately, you won't have anything if the hard drive on which you store the backups crashes. A safer solution is to store the backups on the cloud and thanks to modern applications, this operation can be as simple and fast as possible. BackupLife can upload one or more folders to a secure server automatically or on demand. Furthermore, the necessary configurations can be made in less than a minute, due to the software's simple and straightforward design.

BackupLife is free to try for a limited period of time, but you can use the trial version without encountering any functionality restrictions or nag screens. Installing the software is quite easy and it takes only a few seconds to complete the operation. Also, there is no need to install any prerequisite tools or to meet other requirements.

Rather than working with backup profiles, BackupLife will upload multiple folders in a single run, according to your preferences. Your current backup settings are displayed on a clean and simple user interface, on which you can also find the schedule for the next backup, as well as an option for performing the backup immediately. Uploaded files can be viewed on a web-based user interface, from which you can restore them without any effort.

The backup settings can be tweaked on a tabbed window. Besides targeting one or more folders, you can also set a maximum file size, to avoid uploading huge files. Additionally, you can limit the software's traffic usage to a certain percentage. When it comes to backup frequency, BackupLife places four options at your disposal, which can be selected in a drop menu. You can set it to upload your files continuously, once per week, when the computer is idle or you can choose to upload your files manually.

The web interface is displayed on your default browser, after clicking the Restore button, in the upper left corner of the window. Backed up files are organized just like on the hard drive, in the same folders structure. You can restore all files at once or download them selectively. Another useful feature is the possibility of associating additional computers or devices with BackupLife. This means that you can upload your files from several platforms to a central location and make them available wherever you go.

Pros

The software can automatically upload one or more folders to the cloud. It allows you to set up various parameters for the backup operation. Backed up files can be accessed on a web based interface and shared between several machines.

Cons

BackupLife doesn't provide too many scheduling options. With BackupLife, you can make sure that your important files will remain safe at all times, even if your hard disk fails.
